WHO IS CINEMAFIA?
We are an upstart promotion & marketing agency that focuses on helping artists & business owners that have yet to find their engaged audience. None of our performers are under contract and we operate on the belief that mutual support is the way for artistic and spiritual communities to thrive. The entrepreneurs we support are dedicated to improving the communities we are active in. We want to give novice performers exposure and experience in real concert venues to prepare them for the next steps in their journey. We want to help businesses take part in the collective energy of our art community.

Righto. Cine, for cinema (William’s first love and continued passion, he is still making movies) and 'Mafia,' for the fact Gary is nuts and has always loved Mario Puzo novels. Also yes, this is a real business that Uncle Sam may get to spank for tax pennies someday.

G.A. Johnson has worked in the event industry since 2003, specializing in fundraisers and corporate events as a small business owner. In the corporate world, he worked his way up from inside sales to outside sales to purchasing management for Team Allied Distribution. This ESOP company sold automotive parts on the wholesale B2B distribution channel. Additionally, he earned a B.A. in Journalism (2012), published six novels, and was classically trained in piano. Cinemafia is the convergence of all his talents and experience in the art and business worlds.

Will Johnson PERFORMER & ARTIST
Why Will? is the name of William Johnson’s indie folk rock band. He released his first album, “Summer’s End,” in July 2023. Since its release, he has built up a following on Spotify with more than 1.5k followers and 3k+ monthly listeners. YouTubers have featured his music in “slowed and reverb” remixes. Summer’s End was William’s foray into guitar-driven folk-flavored by shoegaze and indie pop.
Why Will? is releasing a six-song EP—”idfk”—on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024. It builds off the stylings of the last album by bringing extra attention to harmonics and increasing representation of the rhythm section along with unique instruments such as the glass harmonica.
William Johnson is 17 years old. He spent his sixteenth year performing live at more than a dozen bookings.
While promoting this album, he opened for The Kinda Vague Records music festival at Spirits Music Hall and Rise for Life/ Mad Productions at Goosetown Tavern. He’s also played solo shows at The Littleton Alley, The Alamo DraftHouse, The Karma House, and The Lakewood Bar & Grill. He’s also been booked at various private parties and special events.
